The roots of Corktown can be traced back to the 1840s when the Irish immigrated to the United States because of the Great Potato Famine. With many of the residents in the area hailing primarily from County Cork in Ireland this area of Detroit came to be known as Corktown.

Today, among being the oldest neighborhood in Detroit, Corktown is home to such landmarks as the train station and the field that used to be Tiger Stadium.  Show your Corktown pride with this T-Shirt so everyone can see.
